US-based furniture and bedding company Malouf has introduced a new sheet set, the linen-weave cotton sheets at the ongoing Las Vegas Market. The set adds an additional option to the overall Malouf sheet selection that’s designed for a customer searching for attainable luxury. The news sheets come in four colours: fog, sage, sand and white.

Malouf director of sales Eric Holmstead said, “The linen-weave sheets look and feel like linen with the easy-care and affordability of cotton. We wanted to provide our retail partners with a product that can satisfy customers looking for linen at an approachable price.”

They are available in sizes twin to a California king size and fit mattresses up to 18 inches deep. The garment-washed finish, oversized dimensions, and varying yarn weights give a relaxed texture that closely resembles the timeless look of linen. An open percale weave mimics linen’s loose-woven structure but maintains the integrity and strength of the fabric, the company said in a press release.

The launch of the linen-weave cotton sheets also launches an updated packaging style for all Malouf sheets. Olivia Godfrey, director of graphic design for Malouf, said “Our team has been working with product development for over a year to develop a fresh look for Malouf sheets. The new package is unique in the marketplace and also simplifies display for our retailers by eliminating the need to display fabric swatches.”

Part of the new design includes sensory details so customers can interact with the product and colours. Godfrey said, “Customers can touch and feel a self-fabric bag so they know exactly what they’re getting. We coupled the benefits of a self-fabric bag with the durability and visual display crispness of a box for a solution that’s both functional and beautiful.”

The new linen-weave sheets are available for preview at Las Vegas Market till January 27 in the Malouf showroom at B1350.
