On Saturday, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced the happy news that they have welcomed their first child via surrogacy. In a statement, the actress revealed that the couple is “overjoyed” and requested privacy as they start a family together. The news came as a pleasant surprise to fans of the pair. While congratulations poured in from friends and family, one particularly mean and regressive Tweet criticizing the move surfaced. It’s by far the most unpopular opinion on a subject where nobody gets to have an opinion apart from the couple.
The Tweet in question was shared by author Taslima Nasreen who clearly doesn’t understand motherhood wrote “How do those mothers feel when they get their readymade babies through surrogacy? Do they have the same feelings for the babies like the mothers who give birth to the babies?”

Well, that’s unnecessary. It’s 2021 and if women choose not to go through a full-term pregnancy, something that is not only painful and incredibly hard but also life-threatening in many cases, they bloody well can make that choice.

Here’s a better definition of motherhood.
A mother is someone who raises a child. Not someone who just gives birth. You are trying to hard to sound relevant. Do you know if Priyanka has any issues conceiving? Maybe surrogacy was their only choice?

Seriously???? Woah.. have a some respect to them. It’s their decision snd their baby. Ofcourse the baby will have the same amount of unconditional love and support just like any other baby. We don’t know what was the reason and it’s none of our business.

After a series of Tweets, she tried to clear the air saying that her opinions are objective and weren’t targeted at Priyanka and Nick.
