OnePlus Unified OS Launch Delayed; Expected To Arrive In The Second Half Of 2022

OnePlus was going to launch the Unified OS reportedly alongside the global variant of the OnePlus 10 Pro; however, the launch has been delayed according to a report. The Chinese smartphone company is tipped to unveil the Unified OS platform in the second half of this year. The Unified OS from OnePlus is said to be based on Android 13 and is an integrated software from OnePlus and Oppo. On the other hand, the OnePlus Pad tablet will run on the Android 12L OS that was made specifically for foldable smartphones and tablets.

According to a tip, the Unified OS from OnePlus will be introduced in the second half of 2022 and the company is expected to launch a flagship smartphone that will be based on Android 13 and will run on the new integrated OS. OnePlus’s Unified OS is under early phase of development and will take some time to get fully ready for the market. Earlier, OnePlus and Oppo were expected to launch this integrated software alongside the OnePlus 10 Pro; however, it is in the early phase of development as of now. The OnePlus 10 Pro was launched in China last month with Oppo’s ColorOS 12.1 skin that is based on Android 12. Since the launch of UnifiedOS has been delayed, we can expect the global variant of OnePlus 10 Pro to come with OxygenOS 12.

The beta version of Android 12L was launched in December and has been optimised for the foldable smartphones and tablets. OnePlus hasn’t confirmed the launch of Unified OS and OnePlus Pad so we should take this information as a pinch of salt and wait for an official announcement.
