With popular universal social platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram crashing last night, Twitter served as the only source of social entertainment for millions of users across the globe. While the social media outage lasted for more than six hours and the apps were finally restored by morning by Facebook officials, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol has become the latest talk of the internet.
The Bollywood actor is quite a popular figure in the Hindi film industry and enjoys a huge fan following on social media as well. But that’s not all as the 52-year-old actor also has a dedicated section of creative fans, who never miss an opportunity to produce hilarious memes inspired by the actor. The latest one that has gone viral on the internet features a still of Bobby Deol from the 90s film ‘Soldier’ where he’s working on a desktop. And giving it a funny spin, the memer thanked King Bobby for saving the world and fixing the social media outage.

Earlier in the day, Facebook officials released a statement after restoring the platforms and apologized to its users for the inconvenience. “Our engineering teams have learned that configuration changes on the backbone routers that coordinate network traffic between our data centers caused issues that interrupted this communication. We want to make clear at this time we believe the root cause of this outage was a faulty configuration change,” they stated.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Bobby is all set to return on the silver screen with the sequel to Apne which would also feature Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Karan Deol. Apart from Apne 2, Bobby will also be seen in director Shanker Raman’s ‘Love Hostel’ starring Sanya Malhotra and Vikrant Massey.
