There’s something with Apple, where even before the release of its next phone, there is a lot of speculations regarding the later phones just like Akshay Kumar films. In fact, here’s the latest one; according to a famous analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 15 Pro might feature a 5x zoom periscope lens.

What Is Periscope Lens?

Periscope lens is based on prism technology that allows light to reflect on several internal lenses to the camera sensor at a 90-degree angle. This results in a better range and optical zoom than the telephoto lens.

It is reported that Apple is discussing with a Chinese company Lante Optics for the supply of periscope lenses in the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro models. Jeff Pu also stated that if the deal gets finalized, Lante Optics will supply about 100 million parts to the Cupertino giant. This in turn will lead to a huge overall growth in Apple’s revenue.

Earlier, another analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also claimed that Apple is planning to feature a periscope lens on the 2H23 iPhone. However, it is still early to discuss all these things prior to the release of the iPhone 14 series. We need to wait till 2023 to find out whether this rumor turns out to be true or not.
