While phone manufacturers prepare to deliver Android 12 skins for compatible handsets, Google is already making progress on its forthcoming Android 13 OS, dubbed Tiramisu. Thanks to various screenshots obtained by XDA Developers, we now have our first glimpse at Google’s future Android version. This would include the Android Resource Economy, notification runtime permissions, Per-App language options, and the Lock Screen clock layout.

A first glance at Android 13 Tiramisu’s features:

While everyone is still waiting to experience Android 12 and some have begun creating themes and custom ROMs, Google is busy creating the next edition of Android — Android 13. This is presently being marketed as Tiramisu, with the first-ever leaks coming in.

Notification Runtime Permission

Because alerts may be quite bothersome at times, Android 13 allows users to permanently disable them. While some chat applications have a snooze button, some may not, and thus the user must go via program information to entirely turn off the alerts option. This is now being brought to light.

The Resource Economy of Android (TARE)

According to the XDA report, Google is planning to release Android 13 with a new feature dubbed Android Resource Saver (TARE). This feature will “reward” apps in the form of a currency known as Android Resource Credits based on how much battery power they consume. These credits can subsequently be used as payment for different duties by applications. It is claimed to function well via the Alarm Manager and Job Scheduler policies. Google’s goal with such a feature is to emphasize smartphone energy management.

Layouts for Lock Screen Clocks

Lastly, the Android 13 images suggest that Google intends to provide a new option in Android 13 to disable the two-line lock screen clock arrangement. The company added a two-line design to the screen lock clock with the new Android 12 update, which turns to a single-line pattern when alerts are received.

That’s all we know for now about Google’s upcoming Android 13 operating system. Android 13 is likely to be unveiled during Google’s next I/O conference, which is supposed to be held in May.
