Its go time for the Blue Origins to touch the sky and we have some special guests. Among the six person crew who are going to be a part of this fourth and one of its kind flights will see the likes of American comedian and SNL star Pete Davidson take off come March 23. Here is all you need to know about who others are taking this journey with Pete and all details of the flight.

The names have been placed and the New Shepherd spacecraft is all geared up as liftoff day fast approaches. The liftoff for the flight is scheduled for March 23 at 8:30 a.m. from Blue Origin’s Launch Site One in West Texas. Passengers on the flight experience are said to have about four minutes of weightlessness by traveling to the edge of space at an altitude of just more than 65 miles. Ths New Shepard is a vertical-takeoff, vertical-landing (VTVL), crew-rated suborbital launch vehicle developed by Blue Origin. It was designed as a commercial system for suborbital space tourism and will propagate the upcoming launch too.

As another controversy after another flows in about comedian Pete Davidson, here is something that involves no drama at all. Pete will join in with the likes of “The King of Staten Island”, Party America CEO Marty Allen philanthropist and real estate mogul Marc Hagle and his wife, Sharon Hagle, the founder of the nonprofit SpaceKids Global; explorer and University of North Carolina professor Jim Kitchen; and Dr. George Nield, the president of Commercial Space Technologies and former manager of the Flight Integration Office for NASA’s space shuttle program.

Blue Origin

Blue Origin, LLC is an American privately funded aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services company. The program aims to make access to space cheaper and more reliable through reusable launch vehicles. Readers must note that the sub-orbital spaceflight is a spacecraft in which the spacecraft reaches outer space, but its trajectory intersects the atmosphere or surface of the gravitating body from which it was launched, so that it will not complete one orbital revolution or reach escape velocity.

Blue Origin is owned and led by Amazon founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos. Blue Origin planned its first crewed test flight to occur in 2019, which was however delayed until 2021, and has since announced that tickets would begin to be sold for commercial flights of up to six people. The first crewed flight took place on 20 July 2021.
