After months of denial and lying, Marvel finally re-introduced fans to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s web-slinging superhero versions in their latest release ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. While Tom Holland’s impressive performance earned him another Spider-Man trilogy (with Marvel and Sony extending their collaboration), fans have been eagerly rooting to see more of Garfield’s Spider-Man on the silver screen. And the recent announcement of Jared Leto’s ‘Morbius’ delay has given fans a ray of hope.

The Jared Leto starrer has been pushed multiple times due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Sony’s decision to push its upcoming January 28 release date by another three months (to April 1, 2022) has led to some fans believing that the makers have postponed the release due to their request. While the chances of Garfield’s appearance in the movie look very bleak, fans continue to take on Twitter to express their desire. Check them out here:
*gasp* Wait a minute! Just hear me out. What if Morbius got delayed because there are going to be secret reshoots featuring Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man in the film in a minor capacity? It could even be a post-credit scene! Or maybe I’m reading too much into it. đź‘€ #Morbius pic.twitter.com/JPgv1Zf8uk

Morbius has been delayed to April First. After recent success of NWH i wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t a quick reshoot with Andrew Garfield. pic.twitter.com/k6UQdsAFr5

Not to overreact, but if they can get a deal done in time, I can absolutely see them shooting an Andrew Garfield scene in the next three months to put in MORBIUS as a tease. https://t.co/7atLWEm4qe

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Garfield revealed that he hasn’t got any call from Sony or Marvel yet. “Look, man, I ain’t got a call,” Garfield responded when quizzed about his next Spider-Man outing. The 38-year-old actor even compared his situation to the game of Werewolf/Mafia where he’s trying to prove his innocence.
