‘Work From Home:’ International Energy Agency Urges As Petrol Gets Dearer By 2 Rupees Triggering Memefest

So the inevitable has happened. After LPG prices now fuel prices are hiked. IOC hiked industrial fuel price to ₹109.59/litre from ₹87.67/litre. Meanwhile, IndianOil in its latest statement remarked that since the global crude prices have gone from US$ 71 TO us$ 156 per barrel in last two weeks, there os a 5% increase in the price of premium petrol XP-95 by Rs 2 per liter. It however clarified that there’s no surge in price for regular automotive fuel price.

Amid the surge in fuel prices across the globe, the International Energy Agency, based out of Paris HQs urged governments and business houses around the world to work from home. On its website the IEA enlisted 10 actions for consideration, as follows”

Regarding IEA’s work-from-home advice, one user on X/Twitter wrote, “Work from Home is need of the hour, but @PMOIndia and @LabourMinistry is sleeping in India. As always, they will take delayed calls which creates more damage than usual.” Yet another user based out of the UK stated, “People in the UK told to work from home. You know who can’t work from home? Care workers. Majority are black immigrant workers. So if your cousin can’t send remittances this month it’s because war makes life harder for everyone.”
