Twitter founder and former CEO of the microblogging platform, Jack Dorsey has been gaining a lot of attention for his ongoing online feud with renowned venture capitalist Marc Andreessen. While the latter blocked Dorsey on the microblogging site (on December 23), the former Twitter CEO continued to slam Andreessen over the future of the internet.

Earlier this week, Dorsey, in a series of now-deleted tweets, claimed that Web3, a new decentralized version of the internet based on blockchain, has been corrupted by the investments of Andreessen’s firm, Andreessen Horowitz. Post which Andreessen blocked him on Twitter, and Dorsey highlighted it by sharing a screenshot with a message that read, ‘I’m officially banned from web3.’

While the public spat grabbed everyone’s attention, Morning Brew CEO Austin Rief also pitched in and raised a query. He tweeted, “When @Jack and Marc hash this all out, the real question is: Are they going to do it on Clubhouse or Twitter Spaces?” Surprisingly, Dorsey responded to it with a possible dig at Mark Zuckerberg. “I just want a hug in the metaverse,” Dorsey wrote. And within no time, Dorsey’s tweet went viral and attracted hilarious responses from netizens. Check them out here:

Dorsey, 45, who stepped down from the position of CEO of Twitter last month (on November 29) in his resignation wrote, “I’ve decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to move on from its founders.” Furthermore, he even praised Parag Agarwal, the new CEO of Twitter, as he wrote, “He leads with heart and soul and is someone I learn from daily. My trust in him as our CEO is bone-deep.”
