A Seer named Bajrang Muni Das, the mahant of Maharshi Shri Lakshman Das Udasin Ashram in Uttar Pradesh was heard giving ‘rape threats’ to a certain community publicly. The video of the hate speech went viral on social media, prompting the UP Police to launch a probe against Muni Das. The two-minute video containing the hate speech was reportedly shot on April 2 while taking out a procession on the occasion of Navratri.
In the video, Bajrang Muni Das could be heard saying that if any Hindu girl is teased by a man belonging to a particular community, he will also rape a woman of that community. He further went on and passed several more objectionable statements. As per Times Now, Muni Das began his hate speech after his procession reached near a mosque, he went on to say the comments on a loudspeaker. He said “I am telling this to you with all the love that if a single Hindu girl is teased by you in Khairabad, I will openly bring your daughter and daughter-in-law out of your home and rape her.”

As the video went viral, several netizens condemned Muni Das’ behaviour and tagged UP police department asking them to action against him.

The Sitapur Police department has taken action against the alleged video and launched a probe against Bajrang Muni Das. Additional Superintendent of Police North Rajiv Dikshit will be handling the investigation and the police has assured that action will be taken based on evidence.
