One of Bollywood’s most loved couples, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, who tied the knot on December 9, 2021, at the Six Sense Fort (in Sawai Madhopur) in Rajasthan, have been winning over the internet with their mushy-wedding pictures. While fans are still not able to get over their adorable clicks, the latest buzz on the internet suggests that the newly-married couple is all set to team up on the silver screen for the first time.
Yes, you heard it right. Vicky is all set to romance his real-life wife Katrina on the big screen for the first time. A Bollywood Hungama report stated that the makers of Katrina’s ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ have approached the National Award-winning actor to star opposite his wife. The report quoted a source close to the production stating that “The decision of approaching Vicky Kaushal to feature in the film is pure gold. Now add to that the plan is to cast him opposite Katrina Kaif, which will make Jee Le Zaraa the first film the couple feature in together. This in itself is a marketing dream and makes promoting a film that much more easier.”
Farhan Akhtar, who is directing the movie is also reported to star in it as well. “With Farhan Akhtar casting himself and now Vicky also being roped in that leaves just one male lead role vacant. And casting one person is far easier than three, and that too in a film that is based on three female leads,” the source added.
Penned by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ which stars Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra is reported to be a road-trip movie. The film is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.
