Twitter Hails Smriti Mandhana’s Kind Gesture For Harmanpreet Kaur At Women’s World Cup



Popular Indian women cricket player Smriti Mandhana has shown a great gesture off the field by asking commentators to announce Harmanpreet Kaur as the player of the match. Madhana has scored highest against West Indies in the Women’s World Cup 2022 match at Hamilton. She scored 123 runs on 119 balls and decided to share her award with another player who has also played sensational cricket with a century. Both the players shared a partnership of 184-run during the match pushing the final score to 317.

“I think scoring a century and not being a Player of the Match is something I really wouldn’t want as a player. I think we both contributed equally for us to score 300. So, I think it’s good for us to share the trophy and I think both are good contenders to get it. We learnt from our mistakes and that’s something we thought we are not going to repeat it,” NDTV Sports quoted Smriti Mandhana as saying.
