Indian Army reveals the in-house messaging app named ASIGMA (Army Secure IndiGeneous Messaging Application). It is said to be the new generation, state of art web-based application.
The app is developed by a group of officers from the Corps of Signals of the Army.
The app will be implemented as the Army’s internal network by replacing the previous Army Wide Area Network (AWAN) messaging application which was the primary messaging app for the past 15 years.
Also, it is important to note that the app is exclusive to the Indian Army and won’t be released in the app stores.

The ASIGMA is designed in such a way that it provides a more safe and secure messaging network rather than depending on external servers like WhatsApp and Signals which aren’t safe.
The ASIGMA app offers advanced features with a simple user interface. It has basic features like voice call, group chat, voice notes, image and video sharing, and many more. Additionally, it comes with lifetime support for future upgrades.
