The Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu said that technology can play a major role in taking education system to new heights by transcending barriers during Rishihood University Inauguration on saturday.
He went on to say that ‘Indianising’ the education system is a must based on the country’s wealth of ancient inheritance. As we forgot the glorious traditions and culture of the ancient India, the Vice President urged that we must revive the forgotten traditions and bring back the glory of holistic education.
Moreover, the education system created humiliation and inferiority complex among students.
The Vice President claimed that value-based transformation in education system must be implemented based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Naidu stated that India was once known as the “Vishwa Guru”. He also stressed that there is a need for India to become the global hub of learning, intellectual leadership, and innovation.
The different aspects of education system like research, teaching, international rankings, and placements should be enhanced to see the change, Naidu stated.
“We had great institutions like Nalanda, Takshashila and Pushpagiri where students from all corners of the world came to learn,” said Naidu.
Suresh Prabhu, Former Union President and the Chancellor of the University also graced the inaugural event.
