In an attempt to convince a contestant to choose him, the BharatPe co-founder and managing director (Grover) took a jab at the Shaadi.com founder and CEO (Mittal) by highlighting that he has built more brands than the latter. Talking about the comment, in a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Mittal admitted that it did hurt him, but he has no hard feelings. “Look, if I say that my ego wasn’t hurt, it would be a lie. So, I won’t say that. It’s normal to react, but what’s important is how you act on it,” Mittal said. Furthermore, he continued, “There is a difference between being a brand and advertising. Anyone can buy ads, but when every household knows your company, you’ve built a brand.”
