One of the most-awaited movies of 2022, SS Rajamouli’s multi-starrer ‘RRR’ starring Ram Charan And Jr NTR, has been the talk of the town since its inception. And after a long wait, fans were all set to catch all the action in cinema halls on January 7 but the sudden spike in Covid-19 cases in the country forced the makers to push the film’s release indefinitely. And it looks like things are only getting worse for the makers of the magnum opus project as a student from Andhra Pradesh has filed a PIL in the High Court stating that the makers are distorting the historical fact with the period drama.

Apart from accusing the makers and writers of ‘RRR’ of distorting Alluri Sita Ramaraju and Komaram Bheem’s history, Alluri Sowmya has reportedly also requested a stay order on the film’s release and its censor certificate. While ‘RRR’ is reported to be a fictional story based on two freedom fighters, the ace filmmaker has time and again claimed that the film is a work of fiction based on true characters.
While the makers are yet to address this issue, they had shared a statement earlier this week, stating that the current alarming situation in the country has forced them to delay the release. They tweeted, “Keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love. #RRRPostponed #RRRMovie”

Meanwhile, director SS Rajamouli in a recent interview had revealed that Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn have cameo roles in the much-awaited period drama. He said, “They are playing cameos in the film, I am not going to cheat the audience about it. In terms of importance, they are equally and sometimes they are more important than the heroes themselves.”
‘RRR’ starring Ram Charan And Jr NTR will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
