Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports rose 5.63 per cent to $4.77 billion in Q1 FY26, driven by higher global demand, improved cotton output, and renewed investment in machinery.
Knitwear and man-made fibre products led the growth, while cotton fabric exports dipped due to weak Asian demand.
The sector contributed over 62 per cent of total exports, reaffirming its pivotal role in Pakistan’s economy.
