Steve Kozloff Designs’ Latest Creation is Daring and Flashy

0

[ad_1]

Steve Kozloff Designs

Steve Kozloff has carved himself a niche in the yacht industry. Though most of his are still on paper, he has been successfully expanding our horizons by introducing designs of distinguished explorer Superyachts with out-of-this-world luxury amenities and facilities. The latest from the designer The Elegante is nothing short of an example. Elegante is a self-assisted explorer superyacht that comes with a Motor Sailor with a Solid Sail system designed by Chantiers de l’Atlantique AeolDrive sail and mast system.

Steve Kozloff Designs

The 87-meter long superyacht is a four-deck, single-masted polar class sailing yacht. The Elegante is equipped with countless ingenious features, for example, a 1721 ft² aircraft hangar that uses a unique elevating landing pad to accommodate up to 2 helicopters or 3 EVTOLs. The elevating landing pad design avoids the ornate guardrails during takeoff and landing. The generous landing area also permits safe aircraft operations during rough conditions.

Steve Kozloff Designs

For the interiors, Steve Kozloff leaves it to the imagination for the future superyachts owners and interior designers. It would feature multiple levels with curved walls and many large windows providing a nearly panoramic view. At the upper aft deck, guests can enjoy drinks without leaving the pool at the underwater bar. Given the design, it would be exciting for interior designers to create a masterpiece.

Steve Kozloff Designs

The Elegante is elegant and sophisticated with a massive 1500 ft² owner’s suite with a private full-sized pool at the bow. The pool features a hard retractable cover – a Kozloff invention, styled like an early vintage automobile hood; thereby, draining is not required in rough conditions. Another rare feature is the full-beam beach club with clamshell doors and retractable decks. The Elegante hosts its owners in 2 exquisite master suites, while the 14 guests have expansive guest cabins in complete luxury, with a cabin crew of 20 comfortable in the crew cabins.

Steve Kozloff Designs

With its elegance and grandeur, the Elegante is also equipped with six lifeboats deployed in the worst of conditions. With being economically over the regular sailing rigs, the Solid Sails system has many significant advantages over traditional sailing rigs, including titling masts, 20 plus year service life and free-standing mast to ease voyages easy in icing conditions. The explorer also consists of automated setting and dropping of sails and a 360-degree rotating mast that can be pointed in any direction when raising or lowering the sails. The superyacht is equipped with heated handrails and doors to minimize icing problems. The Elegante ditches the traditional external anchor system for a unique flush mounted submarine-style anchor underneath the bow for a cleaner look at the bow.

Steve Kozloff Designs

Like every superyacht, the Elegante consists of a full-beam garage that can handle two tenders and other water toys. The Elegante is propelled by twin Cummins engines that deliver a combined 4000 hp at a top speed of 15kts. On diesel power only, the superyacht can cruise at 12kts for 4600 nautical miles.

The Elegante is a testament of a world-class explorer sailing yacht with all the luxury of any superyacht and much more!

Can Galaxies Exist Without Dark Matter? Latest Simulations Say Yes!

0

[ad_1]

Theoretically it sounds absurd! But that’s how science functions. At the verge of abstract absurdness and uncertainty. Ready to pack a punch in the skeptics face with grave profoundness! Not many decades ago, the very mention of Dark Matter was frowned upon until it became an absolute pillar of evolutionary cosmology. It is the building block of galaxies and probably the primer of the entire space-time existence. The most exotic thing in existence, the pursuit of the elusive Dark matter is a multi billion dollar enterprise. Scientists describe Dark matter as an invisible form of matter whose total mass in the universe is roughly five times that of “normal” matter (i.e., atoms). It can be thought of as the scaffolding of the universe. The visible matter we see collects inside this scaffolding in the form of stars and galaxies.

Here’s an explanatory video of how galaxies evolve by NASA

However, in a startling simulation done by astrophysicists from the University of California, Irvine and Pomona College, the findings reveal an extraordinary exception. The study published at Nature Astronomy showed two galaxies sans any dark matter! The discovery led the researchers to do further state of the art simulations to ascertain this rather absurd discovery.

Robert Feldmann, a professor at the University of Zurich who is the architect of the new simulation, said that, “this theoretical work shows that dark matter deficient galaxies should be more common, especially in the vicinity of massive galaxies.”

SEE ALSO: 39 Massive And ‘Invisible’ Ancient Galaxies Hidden In Space Discovered That Shed New Light On Dark Matter – Science

One of the lead researchers Moreno joyfully quips, “It was pure serendipity.” However, he states with caution that, “you don’t have to get rid of the standard dark matter paradigm.”

The team discovered seven dark matter free galaxies which they named after seven Cherokee clans, namely Bird, Blue, Deer, Long Hair, Paint, Wild Potato and Wolf!

Some things may seem so inherently indispensable in life, but maybe they are not. Keep looking up. You might just find a galaxy without the dark matter.

[ad_1]

Fresh Vine Wine

Produced and bottled in Napa Valley, Fresh Vine Wine had it’s NYSE American: VINE IPO day in December 2021 with co-owners, shareholders and actresses Julianne Hough and Nina Dobrev appearing across national media. They were promoting consumer awareness of their low sugar, low carb and low-calorie wines.

Now Dobrev, Hough and Janelle Anderson, CEO of Fresh Vine Wine, Inc., have released a fifth varietal, a Limited Reserve Napa Cabernet. This wine enters the premium high-end wine category and represents further progress to leverage its presence in retail to increase distribution and growth. ‘As part of our distribution initiative, we are excited to offer this limited release through our retail partner, Hy-Vee supermarkets,’ shared Anderson. ‘Limited Reserve Napa Cabernet is another strong product that elegantly complements our growing ‘Better For You’ wines and appeals to the accelerating growth in the $69 billion wine category.

Jill Weinlein

Besides being lower in calories, sugar and carbs, Fresh Vine Wine uses naturally gluten-free California grapes and fermentation. Some wines use a process called fining, in which substances are added to the wine to help clarify it, yet this process can potentially cause gluten contaminates to enter the bottle. Fresh Vine Wine is also vegan, based on a third party independent laboratory test revealing no trace of dairy, eggs, fish or animal products in the bottled wine.

Compared to leading US wine brands of similar quality and price, a 5 oz. glass of Fresh Vine Chardonnay has 0.1g sugar, 2.8 carbs, 98 calories and 12.8 ABV. Its golden straw color offers ripe pear, apple, lychee, hazelnut and toasty oak on the nose. Its expressive notes include green apple, tropical fruit and a hint of citrus that finishes long and lingers with notes of pear and bright acidity.

The Pinot Noir has 0.3g sugar, 3.7 carbs, 101 calories and 13.5 ABV per 5 ounce glass. This ruby in color wine has a big floral nose of rose petals, dark cherry, and baking spices. It’s medium-bodied flavors include blackberry and ripe plum that lasts long through the finish with a whisper of chocolate and hint of acidity.

Other Fresh Vine Wine varietals include Rose’ with 0.1g sugar, 2.8 carbs, 98 calories and 12.8 ABV and a Cabernet Sauvignon with 0.4g sugar, 3.9 carbs, 103 calories and 13.5 ABV per 5 ounce glass.

Fine Vine Wine

Join their wine club and receive four shipments of wine a year. The first shipment each year is in February, before Valentine’s Day. Next members receive wine the last week of May to kick off summer, then in September for Labor Day weekend, and last the second week in December to enjoy during the holidays.

Under Armour lunches Flatiron Pop-Up store in New York City

[ad_1]

Under Armour (UA), an American athletic apparel brand, has launched a new retail experience in the heart of New York City. The UA Flatiron Pop-Up store, which opened on Valentine’s Day, showcases Under Armour’s latest performance apparel, as well as the newest iteration of the shoe that has been seen on the feet of top athletes like Steph Curry and Tom Brady—the UA SlipSpeed.

As the new trainer can easily convert from a sneaker to slide in seconds, it is an ideal choice for athletes who want versatility in their footwear, the company said in a press release.

Under Armour (UA), an American athletic apparel brand, has launched a new retail experience in the heart of New York City. The UA Flatiron Pop-Up store showcases Under Armour’s latest performance apparel, as well as the newest iteration of the shoe that has been seen on the feet of top athletes like Steph Curry and Tom Brady—the UA SlipSpeed.

The pop-up store aims to provide customers with an immersive brand experience and a chance to get a first-hand look at Under Armour’s latest performance apparel and innovative footwear.

The timing of the pop-up store’s opening was significant, as it opened on Valentine’s Day, which is also Under Armour’s unofficial anniversary.

UA Flatiron Pop-Up is open to the public for a limited time only, with fresh product drops, surprise giveaways, and the occasional appearance of pro athletes.

“Under Armour’s mission is to make athletes better. In order to do that, it’s imperative that we listen to their needs, and we heard our athletes wanted more versatile performance wear—gear that could be pushed to the limit during a workout, then transition comfortably back into daily life. Those athlete insights are the driving force that inspired not only the UA SlipSpeed, but the full head-to-toe performance solutions featured at the pop-up,” said Lisa Collier, chief product officer at Under Armour.

“At Under Armour, we love athletes and are in relentless pursuit of making them better. This pop-up exemplifies the same grit and hustle that was present more than 20 years ago and allows us to bring one of our latest innovations to a sophisticated market like New York. We will continue to innovate and solve for athlete problems just as we have with the UA SlipSpeed,” said Kevin Plank, founder and executive chairman of Under Armour.

10 Best Investment Companies in 2023

0

[ad_1]

If you’ve been shopping around for a place to invest your money, you’re well aware that there are many options. But are some investment companies better than others, and more specifically – which ones are right for you? I’ve gathered a list of the ten best investment companies to help you make that all-important choice.

Types of Investment Companies

The following types of investment companies are represented in our guide:

  • Investment brokerage firms – offer a wide variety of investments and are generally oriented toward self-directed investing.
  • Investment management companies – firms that provide individual portfolio management and may work with other investment companies.
  • Fund companies – organizations that sponsor various investment funds, typically exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and/or mutual funds.
  • Robo-advisors – low-cost, automated investment services designed primarily for smaller investors.
  • Real estate crowdfunding platforms – offer the opportunity to invest in commercial real estate, specifically individual property deals – usually with a small upfront investment.

Of course, there are many other investment companies, including private equity firms, peer-to-peer lending platforms, and venture capital firms. But these are highly specialized businesses requiring separate discussions and aren’t ideal for the average investor.

How to Choose an Investment Company

The right investment company depends mainly on your investment style. For example, do you want to make investment decisions or let the experts do it through a managed portfolio?

“The best investment company for you will depend on what type of investor you are,”

“If you’re a passive investor who likes ETFs and hates fees, go with investment companies that offer a wide selection of low-cost index funds, such as Vanguard or Fidelity. On the other hand, robo-advisors like Betterment or M1 Finance to build your portfolio can also help you save money, particularly when you have modest savings and don’t qualify for the preferential fees available to wealthier investors.”

Robo-advisors, in particular, have democratized investment management. Where you once had to have a very large portfolio – $500,000 or more – to benefit from professional portfolio management, now it’s possible to get that advantage with just a few dollars.

“Robo-advisors allow new investors to put their investments on autopilot and take the emotion out of investing,”

“They have come a long way since inception and now allow you to invest in alternative assets like artwork and cryptocurrencies. A personal favorite of mine is M1 Finance because it allows you to create your own “pies” (portfolios) to help you diversify your investments.”

Finally, you don’t need to limit yourself to a single investment company. For example, you may hold some of your investments with a robo-advisor while maintaining an account with an investment brokerage firm for self-directed investing.

10 Best Investment Companies

Below are what we believe to be the ten best investment companies for most investors. They’re not ranked in any order. Instead, we’ve chosen to list what each is “best for” so that you can choose the one that will work best for you.

Investment Company FAQs

Which is the #1 investment firm?

Naming a single best investment firm depends on who you ask. However, Schwab is the largest investment broker in the world. As of 2021, the company reported total assets under management of more than $8 trillion.

What are the best investments to hold in an investment account?

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to investing. Your ideal holdings should be determined by your time horizon and risk tolerance, among other factors.

Once you know your risk tolerance level, creating the proper mix of equities and fixed-income investments will be easier. And once you know that, it’s generally best to begin investing with funds like ETFs or low-cost mutual funds. Each will provide you with a portfolio of securities within a specific asset class. Tools like this Vanguard Investor Questionnaire can help you identify the right types of investments for your portfolio.

What are the safest investments with the highest return?

If safety is your top priority, I recommend investing in high-yield savings accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), or U.S. Treasury securities. None of these will make you rich, but they will keep your principal safe and provide a decent return. Consider dividend-paying or preferred stocks if you’re willing to take on more risk in search of higher returns.

What do millionaires invest in?

Millionaires hold many of the same investments in their portfolios as average investors. However, commercial real estate, private equity funds, and venture capital are examples of more exclusive investments that are usually only available to wealthy, accredited investors.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, there are more than enough investment companies to suit every type of investor, and each one has several strengths. If you’re still struggling to decide which platform is right for you, decide on an investment style, and that will help you narrow your choices.

Do you want full control over the day-to-day decision-making, or would you rather take a “set it and forget it” approach? These are the kinds of questions to ask yourself. You may also want to ask other investors you know about their experiences with the various platforms.

Jonty Rhodes Takes Up Dual Role Of Batting And Fielding Coach At Punjab Kings

0

[ad_1]

File photo of Jonty Rhodes

Punjab Kings fielding coach Jonty Rhodes has taken up the additional role of batting coach following the departure of Wasim Jaffer. Rhodes is considered one of the best fielders of all time but also made more than 8000 runs for South Africa. The 52-year-old was also sitting alongside head coach Anil Kumble and co-owners at the IPL auction table last week. Rhodes made 5935 runs in 245 ODIs and 2532 runs in 52 Tests.

While Kumble will work with the spinners, Damien Wright remains the fast bowling coach. Andy Flower, who was the assistant coach last season, has taken up the head coach role at new franchise Lucknow Super Giants.

Punjab Kings, who have never won an IPL title and last reached the final in 2014, are confident of going all the way following a “successful” auction where they bought the likes of Shikhar Dhwan, Shahrukh, Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Odean Smith, Kagiso Rabada and India U-19 star Raj Bawa.

Punjab went into the auction with the maximum purse having retained only Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh.

The team will also decide on the captaincy soon.

Retained opener Mayank Agarwal, who has performed consistently for the team, had led the the team in K L Rahul’s absence last season when the latter was injured.

India opener Dhawan has emerged as a strong candidate for captaincy. He is senior to Agarwal and a consistent performer in the IPL. Dhawan has briefly captained Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Promoted

“The team is keen to have an Indian captain and its choice will be announced shortly,” a BCCI official said.
