According to sources, models like the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and the iPhone SE will not be receiving this new update as it doesn’t support these devices. Besides, the iPad models like iPad Air 2, iPad mini-4, iPad Pro 2015, and iPad 5th gen won’t be compatible with the iOS 16. However, there isn’t any official confirmation yet, but Apple is expected to announce at the coming WWDC conference.

The upcoming iOS 16 is coming with VR capabilities while the older devices don’t support this technology. The Apple A10 Bionic chip is the minimum power required to run the iOS 16. Nevertheless, Apple will not let users degrade to iOS 15.1.1 for iPhone 13 models. It also stopped offering iOS 15.1 updates to other models as well like iPhone 12 and iPhone 11 series.
