Thanks for checking in, but Mia Khalifa is alive. News of her sudden death of the former adult entertainment star began doing the rounds of the internet and quickly garnered media attention. It all began when her official Facebook page was turned into a memorial account and appeared to users as ‘Remembering Mia Khalifa’. The development left many shocked and worried. As it turns out, it was just another celebrity death hoax that everyone seems to have fallen for.
Mia Khalifa’s official page that has 4.2 million followers, was accidentally changed into a memorial page. And for a while, it displayed a message that reads –“We hope that people who love Mia Khalifa will find comfort in visiting their profile to remember and celebrate their life.” with no profile picture. The eeriest part is that a tributes section cropped up on the page. As the internet began to react to the debacle, Khalifa responded with a very savage yet apt meme.
In the hours following the death hoax, Mia Khalifa rubbished rumours with a meme featuring scenes from Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975). The image that reads “I’m not dead yet! I feel fine!” was Tweeted without a caption.
Check out her reaction here:

Well, that’s a relief.
Mia Khalifa’s death hoax is yet another example of people running with unconfirmed facts although one cannot blame unsuspecting fans who perhaps scrolled through her Facebook page only to be faced with the devastating information. Over the years several celebrities were declared dead before rumours were quashed. The list includes Jim Carrey, Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger among others.
