Karan Johar always manages to find himself at the receiving end of netizens backlash and trolls after every episode of Koffee With Karan. This time too, the filmmaker is being called out for disrespecting Hina Khan, Helly Shah and other Influencers who attended Cannes 2022. Sonam Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor were the guests of the recent episode, Karan asked Sonam if she liked the looks that Indian celebs wore at Cannes this year. The actor in turn quizzed the filmmaker and asked him if he liked the looks. Taking a sly dig, Karan said some people went to Cannes event though they weren’t invited.
Karan asked Sonam if Cannes had a good Indian show this year, Sonam replied by saying that she wasn’t aware who all attended the film festival this year. . Karan bluntly said that he didn’t think the Indian show was good this year.. Sonam Kapoor asked Karan who he thought was the best dressed and who attended the red carpet to which Karan pointed out that Deepika Padukone was best dressed and also added that he had no clue if they went on their own or if they were invited.
Sonam then told him that one cannot just go to Cannes unless they are invited or they are paying. Karan added that one can show up and start walking on the Croisette and just click pictures and comeback. Karan’s comments didn’t go down well with netizens who called him out for taking a sly dig at Hina Khan and Helly Shah, who also attended Cannes this year. Take a look at the reactions below.

I never imagined any courtesy from this shameless man but this was too much disrespectful not just to Hina or Helly but also to our country! They went to represent India as a whole so they deserve an equal treatment! No doubt Hina has always been right about this “elitist system”
