Samsung might discontinue the Android on its future phones as it’s predominantly working on a new OS.

The new OS named Fuchsia has been in development in Google laboratories for the past few years. However, there are a few speculations that the Korean giant is planning to bring the Fuchsia OS on board soon.

Although, this would take a long time and won’t happen anytime soon. Based on the reports, it will take years for Samsung to adopt the new open-source OS from Google.

Nothing is officially confirmed for now and it’s still unclear whether the new Fuchsia OS will run along with the One UI or not.

Nonetheless, Samsung isn’t alone working on this one as Google is the master behind this plan. Fuchsia OS runs on the new code called ‘Zircon’ instead of the Linux kernel.

Google is developing the new Fuchsia OS in such a way that it is compatible with all the devices like smartphones, wearables, tablets, PC and IoT. Also, it is used as a pilot run in the Nest Hub.

It seems like Samsung isn’t the only one planning to leave the Android OS, but the other competitors are looking forward to the Fuchsia OS as well.

If everything goes as planned, Google might launch this in the next few years. As Samsung is working in the development of Fuschia, it will familiarize and get used to it well in advance than the other contender.

However, the Android OS isn’t disappearing anytime soon and we need to wait for a few more years to find out whether the Fuchsia will outshine the Android or not.
