According to reports, iPhone 15 could be the first iPhone to not include a physical Sim card slot.

Apple has been working on e-Sim technology i.e the physical Sim-free iPhone for a long time. It is known as a “carrier chip” in Brazil.

Internal sources suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro models might ship without a physical Sim card slot. Instead, the Cupertino company will include two e-Sim slots.

iPhone and iPads have inclined towards the e-Sim technology lately while the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro models were the first iPhones to use the e-Sim technology which allows users to use dual e-Sims simultaneously.

If Apple goes with this bold decision to implement e-Sim technology, it may not be release in international markets as some countries don’t have the support of e-Sim technology.

Moreover, there are some speculations that Apple is working on portless technology which prevents the use of lightning connectors.

However, there isn’t any official confirmation and we need to look forward to the Apple announcement. The iPhone 15 series is slated to release in 2023.
