Moon Knight series is currently streaming on the Disney+Hotstar in India and the Indian film fans have accused that this series has copied the background music from the Mahabharat TV series that aired in 2013 on Star Plus. This is the second time when a Marvel series or film has been accused of copying something from an India series.

A Reddit user had posted clips from the Moon Knight and Mahabharat and captioned the post as “Marvel’s Moon Knight background music is similar to Mahabharat theme”. Seeing this post, a lot of fans agreed on the same and they started enquiring whether it has been copied or the copyrights have been given while there was another user who said that the theme from Mahabharat is still “superior”.

Hesham nazih has composed the background music for Moon Knight and Marvel has claimed that this is an original track while the Mahabharat 2013 was made by Siddarth Kumar Tewary. There was a user on reddit who had posted a comparison between Marvel’s Shang-Chi and Ranveer Singh starrer Bajirao Mastani and said that the scenes had a lot of similarities between them.

A user commented on this post as he said that the country is “changing” and the similarities in the scenes mark the progress in Indian cinema. Just to recall, Moon Knight started streaming on Disney+Hotstar in India and it has received positive reviews from Indian viewers.
