Avengers: Endgame marked the end of a glorious era for Marvel, but the Studio looks all set to bounce back with its upcoming project, Eternals. While Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings gave Marvel’s Phase 4 plans the much-need started, Kevin Feige and his team look adamant to shift gears and accelerate with the Chloe Zhao directorial. With an ensemble star cast comprising of Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Kit Harrington, Richard Madden, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan and Brian Tyree Henry, Marvel got Indian fans all delighted by roping in veteran Bollywood actor Harish Patel to essay a pivotal character in their massive project.

While Patel’s appearance in the first clip of the movie left Indian MCU fans playing the guessing game, the trailer finally confirmed his presence in Eternals. But with the Indian actor missing the much-talked-about Los Angeles premiere earlier this week, fans flooded the internet with questions related to his red carpet absence. In a recent interview, the 68-year-old actor revealed that he skipped the LA event as he tested Covid positive for a day before the premiere. He said, “I am here in the USA since Oct 7. I was all ready to fly down to LA on the 17th to attend the red carpet premiere on the 18th. But unfortunately, my report taken on the 16th showed me Positive for Covid-19 and I could not fly to LA and missed the red carpet.” Furthermore, Patel also revealed that he is currently quarantining in the US.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao seems to have weaved her magic once again as the early reviews of Eternals have turned out in favour of Marvel. Not only this, but the reports of Marvel debut of singer-turned-actor Harry Styles as Thanos’ brother Eros, revealed in the post-credit scenes of Eternals, has also got the audience all excited. The superhero movie is releasing on November 5, and will clash with Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi starring Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar.
