While his days are but numbered at the Twitter HQs, CEO Parag Agrawal won’t let Musk’s takeover be the company’s swansong. He strongly feels for the current management and the staff and has been defending ‘em amid public backlash. Who would have thought after acquiring the second largest stake in the company, Musk on a whim would just buy the goddamned app! Musk has been very critical of the governance at twitter slamming Parag and legal head Vijaya Gadde on occasions. Responding to a tweet, Parag remarked not to feel sorry for him (rather pray for Twitter)!

The Tesla boss had earlier stated that he’ll slash the board’s salaries to zero which means pink slips to all of ‘em. However the management including Parag and Vijaya would take away hefty severance packages on their termination.

While a chunk of the twitter staff is in turmoil over the status of the company post Elon’s takeover is complete, Musk is nonchalant about any mass exodus. ‘Free country’ he said speaking to reporters at Met Gala 2022. He also reiterated that he wants to make the app as inclusive as possible! More interesting, entertaining and funny – that’s what twitter must become in his vision.

Earlier Parag had warned about the state of affairs in Elon’s raaj. He also remarked that he is proud of the work his team does and is inspired by ‘em. Twitter has a purpose and relevance that impacts the world he stated in his tweet.

Not long ago (last year) Elon Musk was all praise for the Indian talent, lauding Parag Agarwal’s ascension to the top in Twitter.

How turns the table! Hmm. . .
