The trailer of Amazon Prime Video’s latest original film Gehraiyaan dropped yesterday. Featuring an A-list ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa along with Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur, the film is helmed by director Shakun Batra. With a story revolving around infidelity, it explores relationships in all the grey areas in between. While the release date is set for February 11, fans are already gearing up to dive into the depths of complex romances we’re about to witness.
The plot follows Alisha (Deepika Padukone) who is in a bit of a rut and her monotonous relationship with Karan (Dhairya Karwa) isn’t helping. When she starts hanging out with her cousin sister Tia (Ananya Panday) and her fiancé Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi) they form a bond. Gehraiyaan easily has one of the most intriguing storylines. Indian cinema rarely showcases infidelity in all its complexity and this film is about to do it by throwing its characters right into the deep end. Fans can’t get enough of what is shaping up to be an emotional ride.

The official synopsis of Gehraiyaan reads – Alisha Khanna, 30, ambitious, now finds herself at a crossroads in life. Her six year long relationship has grown monotonous, her career seems to be hitting a lot of roadblocks and justwhen she had begun to accept this reality as unchangeable, her life is usurped by the arrival of her cousin, Tia and her fiancé, Zain, with whom she bonds over a troubled past and a common wish to break from its confines. The story charts the journey of Alisha and Zain, as they confront the ghost of their past on the path they take to avoid it.
Gehraiyaan will release on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.
