Bharti Airtel is known for offering a wide range of services in the Indian telecom industry and is a great competitor of telcos like Jio and Vi. Today the company has announced the launch of its new video streaming service called the Airtel Xstream Premium. The newly launched OTT app comes with a plethora of new features, the telco also suggests that the OTT app accommodate 15 Indian and global OTT platforms in one app. Let’s have a closer look at the new app.

Currently, there are numerous OTT entertainment apps available on the Play Store and App Store as most of the content is exclusive to a particular platform. However, customers end up managing multiple apps and subscriptions simultaneously. Airtel Sxtream Premium app could be a solution for this app management exercise. The OTT app is capable of offering content from 15 Indian and global video OTT’s. Customers will get access to catalogs of more than 10,500 movies and shows plus Live channels from the following channels.

According to the company, users needn’t have to worry about paying multiple subscriptions, sing-in, and more. Users can access Airtel Xstream Premium across smartphones, tablets, laptops through the app or web and on the TV through the Xstream set-top-box.

Do note that the content will be exclusively available for Airtel customers at a price point of Rs 149 per month. During the announcement, Airtel is targeting 20 million subscriptions through this offer and it’s collaborating with many more OTT players to make Airtel Xstream Premium to enhance the viewing experience of the end users. It would be interesting to see what competitors are going to do about this new step.
