Telugu actor and politician Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film They Call Him OG finally released on the big screens for everyone to enjoy. Just like his any other films, fans rushed to the theatres to watch and enjoy it. However, a few fans took it a few steps forward, which has now landed them in legal trouble. According to a report by News18, Bengaluru Police registered an FIR against them for organising an event outside the theatre, ahead of the film’s release, without any permission.
Quoting a Hindustan Times report, the Bangalore Pawan Kalyan Fans Association planned a stage celebration outside the Sandhya Theatre in Bengaluru’s Madiwala without the necessary permission. It is to be noted that the theatre was hosting a paid preview screening of They Call Him OG that evening. According to the Bengaluru Police, the organizers set up a stage and a DJ system outside the theatre to celebrate the release of the movie, without any permissions.

The media report adds that as soon as they received a tip-off, they rushed to the venue and dismantled the arrangements. The Madivala Police also registered an FIR against the organizers after securing permission from the city court. An authority told PTI, “When we got to know, we immediately reached the spot and seized the loudspeakers on Wednesday and asked the organisers to dismantle the stage.”

They Call Him OG is set in Mumbai of the 1990s. Directed by Sujeeth, the movie stars Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Kanmani, Arjun Dasm, Sriya Reddy, Gambheera, and more in important roles. It is produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under the DVV Entertainment banner. The film was released worldwide on 25 September 2025.
