The Shark Tank format was adopted from the hit U.S. series that is currently in its thirteenth run which itself was adapted from a Japanese series called Tigers of Money (2001) and the UK show Dragon’s Den (2005). Here’s how much the Sharks have invested so far in deals made on Shark Tank India.

Aman Gupta co-founder and Chief Managing Officer of Indian electronics brand BoAt has spent rupees 6.691 crores in 23 deals.

Namita Thapar CEO of pharma company Emcure Pharmaceuticals has invested rupees 4.483 crores in 15 deals so far.

Peyush Bansal the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lenskart who is a fan-favourite on the show has invested rupees 4.196 crores in 16 negotiations.

Ashneer Grover, co-founder and Managing Director of digital payment app BharatPe, one of the lower investors invested rupees 3.96 crores coming in at 15 deals.

Anupam Mittal the founder and CEO of People Group rupees 3.71 crores with 16 deals.

Vineeta Singh, Chief Executive Officer of cosmetics brand SUGAR comes in last with rupees 1.52 crores in 6 deals.
