Not every app on the Google Play Store is safe and secure. As a result, criminals try to breach the security concerns and inject trojan in apps to steal data from time to time.

Recently, a famous Android app named “Color Message” was found to have Joker virus. This virus steals personal data from your smartphones and gains premium access to other apps as well.

Joker virus has been around since 2017 and acts as a base to many apps. It is pretty much similar to malware which infiltrates your device and steals personal data and access premium services. And this leads to a heavy surge in phone bill.

Usually, viruses enter into your smartphone in the name of a new app to gain access to your personal data or premium services.

Even the Joker virus possess same attributes which was found in the “Color Message” app.

This app is said to offer sticker sets and message analytics, but it steals your data.

Although, the app was removed from the Google Play Store which has over 5 million downloads. However, it is recommended to uninstall it if you installed it.

This is a common issue nowadays as Google Play Store can’t scan for viruses present in the app. So, there’s no real-time protection and anyone can inject malware in apps.
