In his recent interaction with the Hollywood director duo the Russo Brothers, The director opened up about his dissatisfaction with Netflix.

During the conversation, Rajamouli said, “First of all, I am truly unhappy with Netflix since they picked only the Hindi version, not the other four versions,”. I do, therefore, have a complaint against them. The second thing is that, yeah, I was astonished by the response from the west.

Speaking about his direction and the stories that he has directed and the way the fans received them Rajamouli said “ A good story is a good story for everyone. But I didn’t think I could make films for Western sensibilities. I never believed myself. So when it came out on Netflix and people started watching it and the word of mouth started spreading and the critics started giving out good reviews for that.”

He further emphasized that he is very thankful for Netflix, stating, “Yes, I was surprised. And yes, it wouldn’t have been possible without Netflix. For that, I have great regard for them.”
