After the enormous success of Avengers, Marvel stepped into the digital space with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany’s WandaVision early last year and kicked off their phase 4 plans. While the instant success of WandaVision motivated Marvel to accelerate their plans amid the lockdown, the giant studio went on to introduce a whole new series action series based on Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie’s Marvel characters Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson. But The Falcon and the Winter Soldier failed to keep up the momentum gained by WandaVision and turned out to be quite a bumpy ride for Marvel. However, Wilson and Stan’s camaraderie surely struck a chord with the audience.
The talented actors, who share a good bond in personal life showed off their bond in front of the camera and won over many hearts as a formidable team. And during Stan’s recent interview with Collider, the 39-year-old actor didn’t leave any opportunities and ended up making hilarious digs at this pal. Talking about Mackie’s performance and comparing it with The 355 co-star Jessica Chastain, Stan said, “I only dread it with Anthony because the problem is I have to wait for him for so long. Then it’s like, ‘Are we going to get the shot?’ I’ll tell you one thing, I didn’t have to wait on this film. Everybody was showing up with their A-game. Jessica was not holding any punches and some of them literally did land. But I think action is sort of this weird dance that I don’t know if it still gets the credit that it deserves.”
Stan was even quizzed about his future in Marvel to which he responded with an obvious answer. Many reports of his inclusion in Captain America 4 have been making rounds on the internet, but Stan preferred to deny them and state that he isn’t sure about Bucky’s future.
Meanwhile, talking about Captain America 4, Mackie is all set to become the next Captain America in the upcoming Marvel project. The project is currently in its early stages and not much details are available yet.
