As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, with more cases recorded in some countries than others, many remain hesitant to get vaccinated. The rise of anti-vaxxers had become something of a phenomenon in the U.S. with a section of the citizens refusing to take vaccine doses that are crucial to curbing infection and hospitalisation rates. More recently, a rally was held at Washington led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and amidst the attendees was Marvel star, Evangeline Lilly. The actress plays Hope van Dyne aka Wasp in the Ant-Man and Avengers movies. Fans are mighty disappointed by her stance.

Evangeline Lilly not only attended and supported an anti-vaccination rally but also posted about it on Instagram. In her long caption that comprised of misinformation she wrote “I was in DC this weekend to support bodily sovereignty while Canadian truckers were rallying for their cross-country, peaceful convoy in support of the same thing.”

She added, “I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will,” before penning a long list of threats she claims people are under including “violent attack”. Check out the rather disturbing and frankly puzzling post here.

Fans are now calling out Lilly for her irresponsible opinions especially as the U.S. like many parts of the world grapples with the Omicron surge.

This isn’t the first time a Marvel star has expressed anti-vax sentiments. Black Panther star Letitia Wright also revealed that she is against taking the COVID-19 vaccine.

But here’s an Ant-Man casting idea for the upcoming films:

More importantly, Paul Rudd needs to be protected.
