The Head of Marketing and Sales, and Vice President, Hardeep Singh Brar claimed that this strategy will be revealed some time around 2022.

“We are looking at all the multiple angles and somewhere next year we will announce our EV strategy,” Hardeep said.

Right now, the Kia electric segment consists of EV6 electric SUV which hits over a range of 490Kms on a single charge. Moreover, Kia offers two more electric SUVs, Niro EV and Soul EV in the global markets. With the upcoming EVs, Kia is set to take over the EV space and become a great contender.

Hyundai announced that its going to release six electric car. Besides, Hyundai offers only one electric offering, the Kona SUV.

However, there isn’t any official confirmation from either of the brands regarding which models are getting electrified.

“Currently, we are studying because there are multiple factors…like pricing, range, charging infrastructure,” shared Hardeep.

“At the backend yes we have lots of synergies but when we go to the market place we play our own game. They have their line-up, we have ours,” he further added.
