After years of speculations, Lana Wachowski is finally back with the next Matrix instalment, and the ace filmmaker looks adamant, more than ever, to register another blockbuster with ‘The Matrix Resurrections’. While the trailer of the fourth Matrix instalment gave us a glimpse of lead actors Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, along with new recruits: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the franchise promises to offer a series of breathtaking action sequences.

While the audience witnessed Reeves, Moss and other Matrix actors pull off some never-seen-before action stunts in the previous instalments, Wachowski seems to have just raised the bar with the upcoming fourth chapter of the popular franchise. However, it has resulted in ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ earning an R-rating from the American Classification and Ratings Administration. While the previous instalments too were rated R, The Matrix Reloaded was the highest-grossing R-rated film for several years, until Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool surpassed it in 2016, only to be toppled by Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.

Wachowski has not only retained the original Matrix theory, but she has also re-introduced Reeves and Moss as Neo and Trinity with the iconic red pill/blue pill twist. While fans have been going gaga over the return of the lead actors, Reeves can be seen performing stunning action stunts in the two minutes fifty-two seconds trailer. And with a couple of glimpses of Reeves’ character Neo returning into the Matrix once again, the trailer of ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ has just made the audience more curious about the project.

Priyanka Chopra, who is an integral part of the project, seems to be quite excited about her character in the film and sharing screen space with the likes of Reeves and Moss. In an earlier interview with Vogue, Priyanka had said, “I would have done any part Lana Wachowski would have given me. I’d be happy to do a walk-on. It was amazing just being there.”
