iPhone 16-Style Camera Feature Expected In Vivo X200 Ultra; Here’s What’s Coming

Vivo is gearing up to launch its latest flagship, the Vivo X200 Ultra, expanding its popular X series of smartphones. The device, which is set to debut soon in China, has already generated a lot of buzz, especially after a teaser from Vivo’s Product Manager, Han Bo Xiao, gave us a sneak peek at its design and features. The teaser hints at several exciting upgrades, including a dedicated camera control button and some impressive camera enhancements.

From the teaser shared by Xiao on Weibo, we get a look at the Vivo X200 Ultra’s ‘V-shaped’ central frame, which is slightly smaller than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. A key feature that stands out is the dedicated camera button on the side of the device. This button, which is similar to the one Apple introduced with the iPhone 16 series, is designed to make photography easier and more intuitive. The camera button, complete with a blue strip, is designed for smooth sliding motions and is positioned so you can easily reach it with your thumb, almost like a side fingerprint sensor. According to Vivo’s CEO, this button will offer a better experience when taking photos or adjusting settings, particularly when the phone is held in landscape mode.

Vivo has already teased some of the advanced camera features of the X200 Ultra, and it’s clear that this phone is built for photography enthusiasts. The device will include Vivo’s V3+ chip, paired with a VS1 chip focused on improving imaging. Together, these will ensure higher-quality photos, even in challenging lighting conditions. The X200 Ultra is also expected to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, which should allow for stunning close-up shots with incredible detail and clarity.

When it comes to the display, the Vivo X200 Ultra doesn’t disappoint. The phone will feature a large 6.82-inch 2K LTPO BOE micro-quad-curved display, offering vibrant colors and sharp resolution. With a 120Hz refresh rate, users can expect smooth scrolling and responsiveness, making it perfect for gaming and media consumption. Powering all of this is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, ensuring smooth performance whether you’re gaming, multitasking, or using demanding apps.

Battery life is another area where the X200 Ultra shines. With a massive 6,000 mAh battery, the phone is built to last through long days of use. Plus, it supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, meaning you can quickly recharge and spend less time plugged in.

While the Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to launch in China in April 2025, the exact date and pricing details are still under wraps. As the official unveiling approaches, tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting to see if this device will live up to the hype.
