India’s largest player in the polyester value chain, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has further increased the prices of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and MELT for the current week, while keeping monoethylene glycol (MEG) prices unchanged. According to market sources, Reliance set prices as PTA at ₹89.70 per kg (an increase of ₹2.50), MEG at ₹53.20 per kg (unchanged), and MELT ₹95.23 per kg (an increase of ₹2.15). The new pricing for polyester raw materials will take effect from the coming Saturday.
