Indian e-commerce platform Snapdeal has announced the appointment of Himanshu Chakrawarti as the president of the company. He will be responsible for leading various functions, steering growth-related and operational initiatives, and drive the company’s value commerce strategy. Snapdeal also recently named Priyaranjan Kumar as VP and business head.
An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Bangalore, Chakrawarti brings over 30 years of experience in the retail sector in building lifestyle brands.
Chakrawarti has previously served as the CEO of Unlimited Fashion – Arvind Lifestyle Brands’, CEO of Hi-Care Services and CEO of Essar-owned The MobileStore.
