Elon Musk’s Starlink is experiencing a slew of problems in India. The country head of Starlink stepped down just one day after the online service was ordered to return money to all Indians who’d already booked the service. Sanjay Bhargava, a firm executive, announced his leaving via a LinkedIn post.

“I have stepped down as Country Director and Chairman of the Board of Starlink India for personal reasons,” stated the former Starlink Country Director for India. My final day of employment was December 31, 2021.”

Bhargava’s LinkedIn profile now says he’s retired. The cause for the abrupt “retirement” has yet to be established.

Last month, Bhargava stated that the business will endeavor to obtain the requisite license by January 31, 2022.

Around 5000 users have already signed up for Starlink, a satellite-based broadband connection that provides more connectivity alternatives in remote locations. Consumers in India have been urged not to place orders with Elon Musk’s Starlink until the appropriate permits have been given. Starlink has advised its Indian customers that they are experiencing several challenges with the licensing framework that must be addressed first. The exact date of the launch is “currently unknown.”

In order to supply its services to a wide variety of areas, StarLink employs low-orbit satellites. Users may expect download rates of 100 to 200 megabits per second and latency as low as 20 milliseconds. Basic equipment is provided by the corporation, which also comprises a tiny receiver. Satellite internet is not dependent on a large amount of infrastructure.

Starlink is appropriate for locations where connectivity has been spotty or non-existent. SpaceX intends to place the satellites using its rocket expertise.
