China’s e-commerce logistics index, a measure of logistics performance in the e-commerce sector, rose to 110.9 points in July 2023, an increase of 0.3 points from June, as per the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.

The data showed that the satisfaction rate sub-index reached 101.2 in July, rising 1.5 points, while the logistics timeliness sub-index grew for seven consecutive months, up 0.3 points from June. Conversely, the sub-index monitoring logistics volume in July slightly dropped by 0.8 points to 121.8.

The logistics volume sub-index fell 0.8 points to 121.8.

The decline in July has been attributed to the cessation of e-commerce sales promotion activities that were initiated in June, according to a statement from the organisation. The e-commerce logistics index, compiled using data from JD.com, has its baseline set at 100 points.
