This Indian electric racing bike designed in Bengaluru is going places in Europe. After its launch in the UK, the Ultraviolett F77 is now unveiled in Germany as well. Ahead of its launch in the country, the bike was spotted with one of the co-founders of the company in the streets with admirers swarming the beast. A clip of more than a couple of German cops checking out the bike has gone viral.
Ultraviolett Automotive was founded by Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan, two engineering batchmates, in 2015. The first horse from its stable, the Ultraviolett F77, was launched in March 2023. Ever since the inaugural launch, the company has widened its portfolio with other models, including the F99. With fuel prices peaking, more Indians are looking for a globally benchmarked EV solution. There are a handful in the scooter segment; none in bikes that are domestically designed and deployed. Ultraviolett seems to bridge the gap.
The yellow textured ‘Laser Afterburner’ variant of the Ultraviolett LSR F77 that went viral ships at Rs 321,509 without additional modification, which is also provided as a service. The bike has 10 levels of regenerative braking along with 4 levels of traction control. An ARC model worth Rs 20,000 ships with the bike at no extra price. The Ultraviolett bike also bundles a standard charger that runs for a maximum of 35 km with an hour’s worth of charge.
