Actress Subashini, well known to her fans as Shaashvi Bala, has left for her heavenly abode. Having made a name for herself with her Tamil television serial Kayal, she passed away by suicide in Chennai. According to a report by India Today, the authorities have begun their investigation into the matter. The news of her untimely demise has come as a shock to her fans and industry friends.

The media publication reported that the actress, who had Sri Lankan origins, was residing in an apartment in Iyyappanthangal, where the incident took place. As soon as the news of her suicide reached the police, they rushed to the spot and immediately sent her body for medical examination. India Today reports that a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding her passing is currently ongoing.

According to initial reports, the actress may have been in distress before the incident. She reportedly had an argument with her husband over a video call. Having made a name for herself in the industry by playing the role of an antagonist in Kayal, Shaashvi Bala has also worked in movies like Ellaam Mela Irukuravan Paathuppan (2023), and Web (2023). She would often take to her official social media handle to share photos with her husband Bibin Chandra.
