The 98th Academy Awards are taking place on March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, celebrating the best films and artists of 2025. The ceremony is being hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien. In India, viewers are able to stream the awards live on JioHotstar, while television broadcasts are airing on channels including Star Movies, Star Movies Select and Colors Infinity.

The red carpet festivities are beginning at 3:30 AM IST on March 16, followed by the main ceremony at 4:30 AM IST for Indian viewers. Those unable to watch live can catch a repeat telecast later the same day at 9:00 PM IST. Globally, the ceremony is being broadcast in the United States on ABC with streaming on Hulu and coverage from E!, while viewers in the UK and Australia can tune in via ITV and Channel 7 respectively.

Among this year’s nominees, Sinners is leading the race with a record 16 nominations, surpassing the previous record of 14 held by films such as All About Eve, Titanic and La La Land. The film has received nominations across major categories including Best Picture, Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan and Best Director for Ryan Coogler. Other notable contenders include One Battle After Another, Hamnet, Sentimental Value and Frankenstein.
India also has a presence at the ceremony with Priyanka Chopra joining the star-studded presenters lineup alongside names like Robert Downey Jr., Anne Hathaway and Paul Mescal. Meanwhile, Indian-American filmmaker Geeta Gandbhir has earned two nominations, her film The Perfect Neighbor is nominated for Best Documentary Feature, while The Devil is Busy is competing in the Best Documentary Short category.
