Here’s What Ranveer Allahbadia Is Focusing On Amid India’s Got Latent Controversy: ‘Something I’ve Ignored…’

YouTuber, podcaster and content creator Ranveer Allahbadia is trying to move on from the entire India’s Got Latent controversy. Apart from having started doing podcasts, he often takes to his official social media handles to update his followers about his life. Days after doing a short Ask Me Anything session, he now shared glimpses of his workout sessions and opened up about what he is focusing on these days.

On Monday, he took to his Instagram stories and shared glimpses of his workout videos. On a video, where he is seen lifting a deadlift, he shares that he is “focusing on getting strong af lately.” In another story, he is seen showing off his flexibility, by doing poses on a mat. He wrote on that video, “Also focusing heavily on flexibility. Something I’ve ignored since my judo training between age 10-16. Body is just beginning to get more bendy. But wow! Helps both my mental health and spiritual journey.”

Talking about the previously mentioned AMA session, which was conducted last week, when a fan had asked Allahbadia what was the most fearful thought he had during the past months, he explained that it was that he let down the families of his team, who suffered because of his mistake. He added, “People don’t understand how many jobs were at stake. Quickly wrote off my career and hence the careers of 300+ people.”

The 31-year-old content creator added that he learnt about human nature from the fiasco and that people “love” seeing others “fall.” He promised that he would keep moving forward despite not being “100% okay.” “Have to give it my all because MANY livelihoods depend on my work. Stay humble, stay hungry,” he concluded.

For those who don’t know, Ranveer Allahbadia had appeared on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent along with Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija. He got in trouble for asking an offensive Would You Rather question to a contestant on the comedy show. He had asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?” While the comment was laughed off by the judges panel, it caused an uproar on social media, with netizens demanding action against the content creators.

The controversy escalated to the point that the National Commission for Women (NCW) intervened and forced him to submit a written apology. While the Supreme Court reportedly granted him interim protection from arrest, they called his remarks “vulgar” and also accused him of having a “dirty mind” that has shamed the society.
