Academy Award-winning director Chloe Zhao’s movie Eternals is yet to release (November 5), but the superhero project has already got the audience excited about it. And with the early reviews of the film suggesting it to be Marvel’s biggest and most entertaining superhero project, latest reports reveal that singer-turned-actor Harry Styles will be making his Marvel debut with Eternals. The Marvel movie premiered at the El Capitan Theatre, where the One Direction alum’s debut as Thanos’ Brother Eros, was revealed to the attendees in the post-credit scene, which were not a part of the early press screenings.

Senior entertainment writers Matt Donnelly and Marc Malkin took to their respective handles to confirm the news. “Big reveal from #TheEternals premiere — Harry Styles has joined the MCU as Eros, brother of Thanos,” Donnelly wrote. Followed by Malkin’s tweet, “When Harry Styles shows up in the MCU. Audience squealed.”

And within no time, Twitter witnessed a meltdown as Styles’ fans just couldn’t digest the news of their favourite pop sensation joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Eros AKA Starfox. While many are still trying to absorb the surprise, several netizens have already taken to their respective handles to express their excitement over Styles’ MCU debut.

Styles, who made his acting debut with the 2017 war drama, Dunkirk, has recently wrapped the shooting schedule of Michael Grandage’s upcoming project, My Policeman. The One Direction alum, who is currently dating Olivia Wilde, will also be seen in the latter’s project, Don’t Worry Darling, which is expected to release next year.

Meanwhile, Eternals which stars an ensemble star cast: Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Angelina Jolie, Lauren Ridloff, Kit Harrington, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan and Harish Patel, is all set to release in cinema halls on November 5. While Harry Styles’ fans will have to wait a couple of more days to see their favourite star on the silver screen, they are going to witness the beginning of a new chapter in Marvel’s history post-Avengers.
