Gehraiyaan is one of the most anticipated movie releases of the year. Amazon Prime Video has released the full trailer of the upcoming film today and it’s already shaping up to be an intriguing emotional drama.
Gehraiyaan with its stellar cast and refreshing concept is bound to make waves. While the film was set to release this month, it will instead premiere on February 11, 2022. Ahead of its release, the trailer unveils the film’s characters. It opens with Deepika Padukone’s Alisha who seems to be in an unhappy relationship with Dhairya Karwa’s Karan while Ananya Panday who plays her cousin sister Tiya is all set to marry Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Zain. On what looks like a beach getaway, their lives get increasingly entangled when a romance brews between Alisha and Zain. This is going to be good!

Gehraiyaan has some delightfully grey characters. Infidelity or failing your partner in a relationship is often seen as a terrible moral failing that wrrants ruin, at least in Indian cinema. So it will be interesting to see how Gehraiyaan will touch upon the topic.
Director Shakun Batra offered a few details about the upcoming film. “Gehraiyaan for me is not just a movie. It is a journey into the intricacies of human relationships, it is a mirror into modern adult relationships, how we traverse through the maze of feelings and emotions and how each step, each decision we make affects our lives and the lives of those around. I am immensely glad to have taken this journey with the incredible team and Dharma Productions, the exceptionally talented cast and crew, and now Amazon Prime Video. I believe audiences will relate to this film very closely and I am looking forward to receiving the reactions from the audiences across the globe,” he explained.
Deepika Padukone who is also onboard as producer shared a bunch of character posters ahead of the film’s release.
Gehraiyaan will release on February 11, 2022 on Amazon Prime Video
