Jake Gyllenhaal’s recent photoshoot is grabbing eyeballs. This week, W magazine revealed the actor’s photos featured in their latest Best Performances issue. In a picture taken by Tim Walker from the overall red photoshoot, he can be seen wearing red heart-shaped sunglasses. And while the photos are featured alongside an interview in which the actor discusses his Netflix film The Guilty, many fans are convinced that the look has a Taylor Swift reference.
Taylor Swift wore red frames in her 22 music video from her album Red which was recently revived in the form of her latest album – the delightful Red (Taylor’s Version). In fact, the lyrics of her 10-minutes long unedited track ‘All To Well’ (among others) are speculated to be about Jake Gyllenhaal whom she briefly dated in the past. The song topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart when it came out in November last year. Now swifties are theorising that Gyllenhaal is sneakily responding to Swift.

In another picture, Jake can be seen vacuuming a red carpet and fans are entertaining endless possibilities. “He remembers all too well too, I see./Red (Jake’s version) is out.” one user commented:

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal were in a relationship a long time ago but swifties will take any opportunity to reference the revived album and consecutively revived chatter from the past.
