Greene added that the email was “being sent to some of President Trump’s strongest supporters.” And? Is that supposed to mean something? Of course the email is going to Trump supporters. Who else would storm the U.S. Capitol and attempt a coup after their cult leader lost an election? That’s who should be getting subpoenaed, hopefully, as well as everyone else involved behind the scenes.
Greene ends her Twitter rant by implying she will not comply with the subpoena. “We won’t be playing your stupid games anymore,” she writes.
Greene has already been ousted from two congressional committees for acting like a fool in the halls of Congress and fined for her refusal to comply with mask mandates while on the House floor.
“You would think that the Republican leadership in the Congress would have some sense of responsibility to this institution,” Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said at a news conference on February 4 after Greene was banished from her previously held committee seats. “For some reason, they’ve chosen not to go down that path.”
Even some of Greene’s constituents are beginning to question her.
“It’s embarrassing,” Ashley Shelton, a stay-at-home mother who voted for Greene told The New York Times. Shelton says. “I think she’s kind of a loose cannon,” Shelton said. “The more she opens her mouth, the less evidence of her wisdom.”
